SOLUTIONS

THOUGHT PROCESS

Education is the answer: Education and public awareness is the ultimate solution to this large problem. By educating the public on how significant this problem is, they will be motivated to change their behavior. Once they are educated on the causes of antibiotic resistance, they will know how to change their behaviors so that antibiotic resistance is decreased.

This thought process incorporates empathy because we are targeting our audience to people who could truly make a difference.

To educate, a series of pamphlets has been created as a public service announcement, showing both the significance and causes, and instructions on how an individual can help fight antibiotic resistance.

These pamphlets will be given to the parents of newborn babies, located in the waiting rooms at doctors offices, and presented in pharmacies. Having the pamphlets in these areas will not only raise awareness and educate the public, but also encourage them to inquire questions of professionals and ask for more information when the doctor prescribes antibiotics.

We also have designed several posters to help educate the public.

STRATEGY
PHILOSOPHY

Healthy children make healthy adults: What does “healthy children make healthy adults” mean to us? We believe that children who develop healthy habits at a young age will carry these habits through their adult life. If they are taught to perform habits that are a change in society, but new to them, they will be more likely to continue with that habit and apply it every day. Therefore, children are ultimately the ones who will make a difference in the world. By giving the parents brochures and exposing their children to the idea of the danger of antibiotic resistance, children will make better decisions as adults coming into the world.
